What is CTR – Google AdSense

What is CTR (Click Through Rate) in Google AdSense?

Most of the bloggers have a common question that what is CTR and how to calculate CTR in Google AdSense. Since it is directly related to the income of every blogger, their concern is genuine, and they should have proper knowledge of CTR. Actually, there are many ways to earn money through blog like AdSense, Sponsored Post, Affiliate Marketing, Email Marketing etc. But if your source of earning is AdSense then proper knowledge of CTR is very important for you.

Hello, friends welcome to Blogearns. In this post, I am going to tell you about CTR and how to calculate CTR in AdSense. How can you estimate your income through CTR.

What is CTR?

CTR is the abbreviation of Click Through Rate. This means the number of times an ad is clicked divided by the number of times the ad, ad unit, or page containing the ad is viewed. Let me explain it to you with a mathematical formula for your better understanding.

  • CTR = Number of clicks / Number of impressions
  • CTR% = Number of clicks * 100 / Number of impressions

In simple words, we can say that if you have a blog with AdSense and ads are viewed by 100 people but you got only 10 clicks on your ads – that means your CTR is 10%.

One thing you should always remember that as a blogger the higher the percentage of CTR, the better advertising you will get. Therefore, for better results, you should always place your ads only in those places which can be easily seen and clicked easily.

One of the most frequently asked questions is, “What is a good CTR?” or “I am getting enough clicks on my AdSense, but my income is really low.”

Let me dispel a myth about AdSense CTR: receiving a lot of clicks on AdSense advertisements does not guarantee a good income; the trick here is to select ads that have a high PPC (Pay Per Click). Even a few clicks on such advertising will result in more than 100 clicks.
